IT Support for Department of Transportation
Overview
Diligent provides IT System Support Services to the IT Department of the Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Highway Administration, Western Federal Lands Highway Division (FHWA/WFLHD). We provide IT solutions, Network Administration, Asset Management, and Systems Administration. These services include network operations and maintenance support, computer automation, technology insertion, Help Desk, and communication system support to users in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Technical Solution
Diligent performs a full range of IT system services: telecommunications and LAN infrastructure support; systems operations and maintenance; Help Desk, CADD systems software support; Asset Management; Telecommunications; Web development and Web Application support; computer systems application and software development that includes Oracle and Microsoft Database Administration and Management; and end-user Training support.
We regularly review LAN performance, configuration, systems maintenance procedures, and LAN expansion options. Diligent provides support in network planning, engineering, installations, and upgrades for Network/Local Area Network (LAN) cabling, cable plant devices, file servers, communications servers, network switches, routers, KVM switches, and all associated software.
Diligent provides WFLHD network operations and maintenance support, computer automation and technology support, and communications support for agency personnel. Our Team provides Program Analysis and Software Development Support in maintaining and replacing legacy software systems and applications for finance and personnel administration. We provide solutions to the day-to-day technical problems that identified in their use of computer hardware and software.
Diligent performs internal and external Website design, development, implementation, and maintenance support. We work closely with the WFLHD Web Manager in defining requirements, delivering web pages into production, and ensuring through monthly reviews that quality performance is provided. We use a diverse set of technologies and systems: Novell, Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Microsoft .Net, Apache, and IIS web servers, MS SQL Server, MS Access, Oracle, Cold Fusion, ASP, CSS and PHP.
Diligent performs Asset Management for the network and telecommunications equipment and systems at WFLHD. Our team lead has an A+ certification with over 5 years of WFLHD IT Asset Management experience. We assist with the management, issuance, and return of all IT equipment, materials, and supplies, using a custom-developed MS Access database application.
Diligent supports development, design, implementation, testing, and certifying the Oracle and MS Access software and associated applications and reporting requirements for other internal systems such as Payroll. We manage and maintain all corporate Oracle hardware and software and applications and reporting tool assets, application and database migrations, and upgrades.
