Overview

Diligent provides Enterprise Management System (EMS) Support Services to the Air University (AU) work center. The AU Software Services is responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of new enterprise applications software for the AU.  The AU center is part of the AU Directorate of Communications and Information (AU/SC) that oversees the engineering, development and integration of AU enterprise level automated information systems (AISs) which support the AU Education Mission. Our engineers support a variety of AU AISs software and hardware system frameworks that automate and integrate the management functions of AU headquarters, schools/colleges and other department-level organizations.

Technical Solution

Diligent provides lifecycle IT system services that range from requirements analysis, evaluating new product capabilities and conducting assessments, to facilitating and assisting with systems implementation, operations and maintenance. We assist in the formulation and definition of customer requirements derived from many functional processes that include: student enrollment and registration records management, student records administration, course and class scheduling, admissions, course material inventory/shipping, Weighted Airman Promotion System (WAPS) study material processing, production/quota management, curriculum/course management, evaluations, faculty and staff administration, institutional effectiveness/research management, financial management, student collaboration and community of practice activities, course catalogs, general office automation, and requirements document/defect tracking (E3215 and Bugzilla).

Our engineers used advanced programming languages, techniques, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software, and tools to develop enterprise applications for a variety of online, offline and Internet-based systems. Diligent provides software services input to Enterprise Architecture and Capital Investment Planning for advanced technology being considered for use at AU.  Diligent also ensures continued support for legacy systems and facilitates their migration to the AU enterprise.  And, our engineers provide database oversight for many of the systems..
