David Cerminaro, Founder, CEO
Diligent was founded by David Cerminaro, a retired Air Force Officer. David started his military career in the U.S. Army, he served in the 24th Mechanized Infantry Division and the 5th Signal Command where he received numerous awards including Soldier of the Year. David then enlisted in the Air Force were he served as flightline Crew Chief, he excelled in this field and was awarded Maintenance Technician of the Year for Air Training Command, David was also awarded a Meritorious Service Medal for saving an aircraft from a ground colision while putting himself at great risk.
In 1986 David was awarded an ROTC scholarship to finish his computer science degree. He attended Angelo State University in San Angelo Texas where he became the Director of Operations for the ROTC Cadet Staff. In 1990 David returned to the Air Force as an Officer where he performed extensive ORACLE design work in the Air Force personnel arena before he progressed to Air Force Space Command where he furthered his expertise in the ORACLE.
In 1997 David retired from the United States Air Force as a highly decorated officer and Disabled Veteran. Upon leaving the Air Force, David worked for a consulting company helping to build their workforce from 18 consultants up to 42 consultants when he departed. David started Diligent in August of 2001 because he saw a need in the market place for high quality information technology talent at a better value then was being offered by the current competition.
Diligent has been recognized as one of the top ten fastest growing businesses in San Antonio the past four years in a row.
Douglas E. Klaymeier, Founder, CFO
Doug Klaymeier offers over nineteen years of professional experience. He is a good communicator, a strong organizer, a proven organization builder and an accomplished project manager with an excellent delivery track record. Doug is an experienced leader and team builder that people want to follow and has always earned the respect of the team members around him. His technical expertise spans a broad spectrum of hardware and operating system platforms, various programming languages, tools, and databases. He has participated in the successful development and deployment of numerous information based applications. Doug can see the big picture and is an excellent analyst who understands both data and function.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering with the University of South Florida, December 1995. In addition he has performed Post Graduate work on a Masters in Engineering Management with the Air Force Institute of Technology and Florida State University.
After founding Diligent with David Cerminaro in 2001 Doug designed, developed and served as project manager of a web-based training tracking system for the Air Force Reserve, a web-based training system for the Air Force Surgeon General's office and a web-based Physical Health system for tracking data and requirements associated with the annual physicals required by each member of the Air Force Reserve.
Prior to his role with Diligent Doug served as Principal Consultant with ThinkSpark Corporation/Database Consultants, Inc. While there he designed, developed and served as project manager of several web-based systems for Nextel Communications, DecisionOne and the Air Force Reserve.
Roger Williams , Vice President of Business Development
As Vice President of Business Development, Roger is responsible for managing all sales and marketing activities for locally based Diligent. Since joining Diligent in February of 2002 he has held various leadership positions within the company, to include his current duties as Vice President of Business Development, as a Senior Program Manager on diverse federal and commercial contracts, and as the company’s Facility Security Officer – a position he still maintains. He has been an integral part of Diligent’s phenomenal growth from less than 10 employees when he first joined, to the over 100 employees it consists of today.
Prior to joining Diligent, Roger was the Director of Infrastructure and Director of Education for Database Consultants, another Information Technology consulting firm with revenues exceeding $80M in 2000. In these positions, Roger led the company in its Oracle Approved Education Center (OAEC) program, which covered 13 education centers and business locations throughout the country. He was responsible for managing and supporting all of the company’s computer and communication systems and real estate operations.
Prior to Database Consultants, Roger was a network administrator and project manager on numerous network and software development and projects for the United States Air Force. He separated from the military in 1996 as a Captain.
Roger graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana, and a Masters of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. His hobbies and interests include supporting various charitable organizations and church activities, watching Notre Dame football, playing golf, listening to music (mostly rock), and raising his 3 young children along with his wife of fourteen years Dana.
Dennis C. Killian , Director of Operations
Dennis Killian brings over thirty-six years of professional C4ISR design, development, delivery, and management experience to Diligent. In his capacity as Director of Operations, Dennis is responsible for government contract operations, business development, contract personnel, and facilities management. He manages the operations of a company with a staff of over 120 highly trained professionals.
In 2004 Dennis was promoted to Vice President of Modern Technologies Corporation, where he also served as Director, Training and Technologies Division, National Security Group. During his tenure at Command Technologies, Inc (CTI), where he was also a Vice President, he managed contracts totaling more than $35M and was instrumental in growing the business by over 40% and increasing the staff from 60 to over 100 professionals.
He retired as a Colonel from the USAF in 1997 after honorably serving his country for twenty-six years. He is a graduate of the USAF Staff Officer School, Air Command and Staff College and Air War College. In 1982 Dennis received a Masters of Arts degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and in 1970 he received a BS in Physics from Appalachian State University.
He fits the mold of Diligent, which is to bring the highest level of integrity, combined with successful business acumen, while being a devoted family man and community advocate.
