Project Management

Diligent provides experienced Project Managers with required management and technical knowledge and skills who successfully lead project teams. They follow Diligent’s Quality Management System (QMS) CMMI® Maturity Level 3 processes and have a proven track record of delivering services and products which meet customer requirements, satisfy performance measurements, are on schedule, and within budget.  Many of our managers have been certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as Project Management Professionals (PMPs) who have successfully leveraged the principles contained within PMI’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide).

Diligent is comprehensive in our approach to successful planning and managing projects. Project planning includes establishing and maintaining all-encompassing Project Plans, Risk Management Plans, and Stakeholders Commitment Plans according to Diligent’s QMS processes. Statuses, changes, and actions relative to these plans are reported monthly. The Project Plan describes tasks, interfaces, technical approach, environment, lifecycle, resources, measurements, costs, and an integrated schedule of all relative project activities such as peer reviews, CM, testing, and QA. The Risk Management Plan identifies possible risks, risk severity levels, mitigation plans, ownerships, and costs. The Stakeholders Commitment Plan contains the relevant stakeholders, the types of support each will provide throughout the project, and their signatures.

Diligent’s Project Managers achieve success by following these three plans and ensuring that team members consistently perform according to Diligent’s QMS processes, customer requirements and standards, project tasks, the lifecycle model, and that they maintain and build upon necessary skills. All projects follow our Project Monitoring and Control Process to review and manage project performance, commitments, risks, project parameters, and corrective actions. We use our Requirements Managements Process to manage and track requirements and additional approved change requests. Diligent ensures that all deliverables perform to customer requirements and in their environment by following our Verification and Validation processes. All projects are closed out with the customer and Diligent concurring with delivered services and products.
