Education
Diligent offers a full set of training and education services including general consulting, instructional design and development, evaluation of learning technologies and projects, and proposal writing. Each of these are described more fully below.
Our approach to successful development and delivery is to listen to the customer, determine the training requirements, and then propose a solution. Simply put, we design training solutions to fit the customer's needs. We garner the customer's participation throughout the design and development process, so that the customer's input is included in the continual decision-making process. In order to deliver the most cost-effective and instructionally effective training solutions, Diligent personnel apply principles derived from empirically sound research on "what works when and how" in the customer's environment.
Services
Diligent's education and training services include:
General Consulting including providing information on education and training technologies, best practices, and training development; creating training project plans including strategy, approach, methodology, schedule, and materials; and delivering both formal and informal presentations.
Proposal writing assistance in responding to requests for information, quotes, or proposals. (note 1)
Instructional design and development is a complex set of tasks encompassing an entire training project. Diligent personnel are experienced in conducting:
- Front End Analysis. Diligent analyzes the customer requirements and constraints including the training objectives, target audience, IT infrastructure, and learning management system requirements in order to recommend the most instructionally effective training.
- Training Design. Diligent designs education and training solutions in accordance with the outcomes of the front end analysis. Diligent works with their customers to develop a design that fits their needs and budget.
- Training Development. Diligent then develops the instructional materials based on the selected design approach. This may include course materials for instructor-led delivery or one of the many forms of computer-based instruction.
- Implementation Support. Diligent supports the customer’s use of a training system especially for the initial use of new technologies through their institutionalized use.
- Evaluation. Diligent personnel have provided multi-method evaluation services for both software-based systems which they developed and those developed by third-party education and training vendors.
Training Delivery Approaches. Diligent designs, develops, and evaluates a wide variety of training delivery approaches including instructor-led training (ILT), and computer-based training (CBT).
Note 1: All parties will need to determine that no organizational conflict of interests exist prior to any work being undertaken.
